NEDDA's Delegate Representatives to the Florida Dental Association's House of Delegates

Florida Dental Association House of Delegates
Guiding Policy. Elevating Voices. Shaping the Future.
The House of Delegates (HOD) serves as the legislative body of the Florida Dental Association, representing the collective voice of its members across the state. Composed of 100 certified delegates from six regional components—plus one student delegate from each Florida dental school—the HOD ensures broad, inclusive representation. Delegate counts are determined by each component’s membership size, ensuring proportional influence.
FDA elected officers and Trustees serve as ex officio members of the House, meaning they participate without voting privileges and cannot serve as delegates.
The HOD plays a vital role in FDA governance, with the authority to:
  • Advise the Board of Trustees on matters of importance through formal resolutions
  • Elect six at-large Trustees and FDA officers
  • Select delegates to represent Florida at the American Dental Association
  • The House convenes twice annually:
    • June – during the Florida Dental Convention (Annual Meeting)
    • January – for the Semi-Annual Meeting

Through thoughtful deliberation and strategic decision-making, the House of Delegates helps ensure the FDA remains responsive, forward-thinking, and member driven.
