About Us

Who We Are

The Northeast District Dental Association (NEDDA) is a professional membership organization representing licensed dentists across Florida’s northeastern counties. As a proud component of the Florida Dental Association (FDA) and a constituent of the American Dental Association (ADA), we are committed to advancing the art and science of dentistry, improving public health, and advocating for the interests of dental professionals.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission aligns closely with the FDA’s guiding principles:

  • Support our members’ success
  • Promote oral health for all
  • Represent the concerns of the dental profession

We strive to create a strong, collaborative community where dentists can thrive professionally while making a meaningful impact on the health of the public.

Community Impact

NEDDA is proud to have hosted major Mission of Mercy (MOM) events in partnership with the FDA Foundation, providing free dental care to thousands of underserved individuals. These large-scale initiatives have required extensive planning and volunteer support, and they reflect our unwavering commitment to improving access to oral health care.

Beyond MOM events, our members regularly volunteer in local health centers, participate in programs benefiting homeless veterans and children, and provide pro bono care in their offices. Service to the community is at the heart of what we do.

Collaboration and Networking

We maintain close relationships with our affiliate organizations—the Jacksonville Dental Society and Clay County Dental Society—to foster communication, education, and camaraderie among members. Through regular meetings, social events, and continuing education opportunities, we ensure that our members stay connected and informed.

Leadership and Representation

Our executive council is composed of both general dentists and specialists, reflecting the diversity of our membership. This structure ensures that all voices are heard and that decisions represent the best interests of our members. We prioritize transparency and engagement, encouraging members to share feedback and participate in shaping the future of our profession.

Member Communication

Keeping our members informed is a top priority. Through monthly Newsbites, email updates, and regular council meetings, we provide timely information on local, state, and national issues affecting dentistry. Our goal is to ensure that members are never caught off guard by changes or challenges in the profession.
