DUVAL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT DENTAL REFERRAL NETWORK

The Duval County Health Department (DCHD) is developing a Dental Referral Network to support delivery of oral health care to Wellcare, Inc. clients enrolled in the Medicaid Reform insurance program. Wellcare clients include both children and adults. The Wellcare Medicaid Reform dental insurance plan offers enhanced coverage for its clients not obtainable through the traditional Medicaid program. Wellcare patients who require services unavailable at health department clinics are referred for care to local Jacksonville area dentists participating in the Dental Referral Network. The Duval County Health Department directly reimburses Dental Referral dentists for services provided to Wellcare patients Dental care specialists, as well as general dentists, are encouraged to contact Dr. Robert H. Selwitz, DCHS Dental Director, for additional information about participating in the DCDHD Dental Referral Network.
